MIHALS is a very popular percussion instruments in Japan.

It was designed for children by a dancer Miharu Chiba (1904-1995).

It's a simple castanets that banded 2 wooden plates

by an elastic cord and has hinde. So, it always open.

it clicks

but that's it. you touch it and it (presumably) sounds like wooden castanets. if you download it, you're probably not expecting much else, so there's no real reason to be disappointed. in its defense, there is no lag time between taps, so click away as fast as your fingers can manage.
